Turkoman
rugs are woven by the Turkmen tribes of Central Asia who
now live in the Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan regions. The
rugs typically feature all-over patterns of polygons called
guls with geometric border designs and display various
shades of red tones. This area is most noted for its different
forms of bags such as saddle bags, camel bags and salt
bags.
